Rules and Regulation
- Library member’s registration is required before using the library resources.
- Personal belonging is not allowed inside the library.
- No entry allowed without ID Card and the member must scan his/her barcoded ID card for entry time and exit time.
- Member observes strict silence and switch off Mobile phones in the library premises.
- Present the books and other materials to library staff for scanning at the entrance desk.
- Library membership cards are not transferable. The member is responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
- Refreshment is not allowed in the library premises.
- Member ID is valid till the respective academic course duration in the library. After that, no books will be issued on that card.
Circulation: Issue System
- Reference books and periodicals can issue for overnight use only.
- The librarian can recall any issued book before the due date.
- Books are issued on the library card; members are instructed to check the books while borrowing, as they will be responsible for any type of damage.
Overdue Charges
- Books are issue to the students for 14 days only. Issued books returned after due date attract overdue charges of Rs. 5/- per day per book.
Book Lost

No due Certificate
- Each student shall obtain No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued and after paying outstanding dues if any.

Care of Library materials:
- Students are required to handle the library materials very carefully. Marking with a pencil, writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way is not permitted. The member shall be held responsible for the misuse of the book, and some shall be brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.
Reference section:
- This section has dictionaries, textbooks, reference books which are only available for reference. The member can make use of these resources in the library only.
Journal Magazine Section:
- In these section journals, general magazines and newsletter are available. The latest issues are displayed on display rack and other previous issues are arranged in the drawer. Bound volumes of periodicals are arranged in rack subject wise. It is used only as a reference in the library.
Rules Applicable to Computer & Internet Service:
- The RKU provides computer facility only for educational use. Hence, the use of computers for personal purposes and playing games is prohibited inside the library.
- Accessing unauthorised sites, Social Media, chat is strictly prohibited as per above the law.
- No personal files should not be saved on the PC.
- Computer settings should not be changed, and other software should not be loaded without permission of Internet Centre In-charge.
- Undergraduate students can avail the computer and Internet service between 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m on working days. for Downloading Electronic Content
